Denham lake is
a mature gravel pit of approx 45 acres, situated in the Colne
Valley, the heart of specimen hunters territory.
There are approx 85 swims on the venue, nearly half of which
can be fished from the car(great for us lazy anglers).
There are gravel bars, plateaus, marginal tree cover for close
in fishing and an island which holds fish all season.
Large areas of lilly pads are present on the east bank which
offer good fishing. The club as a regular stocking policy,
in 2004 we stocked 25 fish from Mark Simmonds at 14 to 16
pound, these are now mid twenties. The lake currently holds
fish over 40-0-0 with approx 25 fish over 30-0-0. There are
numerous fish over 20-0-0 and each season we see new thirties
being banked. The specimen group membership allows you to
night fish the venue whenever you like during the season.
We have specimen group rules which are included with your
standard membership.
To download an application form go to our home page and add
s/g £45-00 if you wish to join the specimen group.
